Your Entrepreneurial Journey: Predator or Prey?

Looking Forward or Around

“If you don’t have a vision you’re going to be stuck in what you know. And the only thing you know is what you’ve already seen.”

― Iyanla Vanzant

Your Entrepreneurial Journey: Predator or Prey?

For my personal development this week, I studied "Why I don't worry when things don't work" by Myron Golden.

Myron posed one question that really resonated with me.

As an entrepreneur are you the predator or the prey?

Here's the thing...

Have you ever took a moment to examine the key features of a predator versus the prey?

A predator's eyes are in the front of it's head while the prey's eyes are on the side.

The prey is looking around to see who is pursuing them. The predator is looking at what they are pursuing.

So...Are you the predator or prey?

To me things can happen to us, around us and through us. I call it circumstance.

Myron goes on to say that we should give meaning to our circumstances and not allow them to define us.

Circumstance = circle + stand.

If you combine the two you get: a situation around us while standing.

*Big Idea: Stop Standing! And Move!

In closing...

Each day we get to decide.

Am I going to be a predator who passionately decides my purpose? Or Am I going to be the prey who is paralyzed by all the circumstances that surround me?

💡 TP’s Marketing Lesson

10 Mins of Business & Marketing Strategy

Gary Vee discusses has coined a term: "brandformance"

Here are the main takeaways:

1- Put out as much content as you can across platforms

2- Pay attention to what “hits” organically

3- Take the content that resonates with people, and slightly tweak the copy with a right hook… aka, take it from a brand piece of content to a transactional piece of content

4- Run ads against that post..
