I fired up the motivational video, seeking a dose of Jim Rohn's impeccable wisdom.

But as the familiar voice started speaking, I did a "double take". Huh?

Something felt...off.

I was listening intently but the energy, cadence and voice inflections lacked authenticity.

I've been listening to Jim Rohn for 20+ years and this wasn't him.

Is this AI?

But the title says ― “ Jim Rohn Motivation”?

Here's the thing...

I’m a big proponent of AI (as a tool).

In fact, I am known for "teaching machines how to speak data".

I bridge the gap between manufacturing equipment and actionable data for my clients.

But pasting a script and impersonating a legend is misleading.

Don’t get me wrong…

YouTube automation channels are very lucrative.

According to Markets and Markets ― the AI market size is expected to reach $407 billion by 2027.

Even I started a YouTube automation channel (Brain Valley).

But there's a caveat.

Authenticity!

What? Am I being too critical?

Well, I read through the video comments, and noticed other people calling out "click bait".

So, where do we go from here?

There are tools that can detect AI generated written material.

And audio and video is next.

I trust the platforms will flag such content?

In the meantime, I ignore it.

Our future depends on technological progress and genuine human connection.

Let's ensure AI enhances humanity and not replace humanity.
