Taking off the mask

3 Things to remain competitive

“Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.”

―Oscar Wilde

Taking off the mask

It wasn't too long ago when we were all wearing masks...

When I traveled to customer sites — it was like checking the
weather forecast.

Each state had their own rules about:
who needed a vaccination, verification and testing.

All in all we made it through the pandemic
and work continued on.

Now that the masks are off — what issues or problems
are you facing in your business that you need help with?

Then again, your business may be in full stride?

If not, here are 3 key things I am working on that you can borrow.

  1. Innovate to Differentiate - when I look at social media often times it
seems like folks are re-purposing the same messaging (boring).
I use AI art or video ideas to be different. Example

  2. Customer Connect - how can I find ways to better learn my
customer and connect? This was a challenge early on when I tried to
clearly define my customer avatar. It changed many times.
To better connect, I engage more with my audience on social media. How? Ask my customers more open-ended questions and reply to comments.

Twitter Tip: Twitter is heavily driven by your engagement effort — not your number of posts! Your reach (impressions) will be very weak if you do not engage first! Try it and let me know your results!

  3. Reinvest in Myself - whether it is time or money, reinvesting in self
is mandatory. Like your business or body, there is no maintaining.
Either you are getting better or falling behind. Invest in training or
the Youtube University (free). I remember reading — you should invest at least 10% of your income into personal development.

Now…I shared my 3 key areas of improvement. I would love to hear yours.
