From Ordinary to Extraordinary : Creating Your Quantum Leap Strategy
Hooray! Our last newsletter of 2023!!!
Thank you for taking this journey with me.
I am truly grateful for another year and I often think about those who helped me along the way.
Some of my best moments came from a simple word of advice or a book suggestion.
I was looking for inspiration for this newsletter and my wife suggested a book she just read.
It is called you² - A high velocity formula for multiplying your personal effectiveness in quantum leaps by Price Pritchett.
It was a quick read at 38 pages (my kind of book).

There was one concept in this book that I needed to hear.
Quit trying harder...
Pritchett says, "Quantum leaps cannot be achieved through incremental steps or through "more of the same".
He shares a story about a fly buzzing in the window. Imagine the fly aimlessly flapping its wings trying to pass through a solid glass window? To the fly it is working and trying harder but does not realize that there's an easier way. Yes, an open door just 5 feet away.
Confession…
Even high achievers can fall into the “this is how I’ve always done it” trap. But this mindset can lead to “gradual gains” and “ordinary results”.
Pritchett states ― “If you want to accelerate your rate of achievement rapidly, you must search out and vigorously employ new behaviors.”
I remember early in my career, my mentor helped accelerate my path ― whether he realized it or not. He was “the example” of what a good engineer and leader was.
He was so good that other engineers would be lined up at his door to glean his knowledge and perspective.
His last words of encouragement to me was: “I know you will go far because you work hard and don’t mind learning”.
Before you say…But?
Hear me out…
We must have a solid foundation before we can Quantum Leap. Meaning, we need to work in building the required skills and competency first.
Here’s the thing…
Quantum leaps are explosive, simple strategies that can help you achieve exponential growth. You can even surpass your current level of achievement without struggle.
Challenge…
Instead of "trying harder" in 2024, decide that you will Quantum Leap and become ― you² (you squared).
Whether you seek mentors, coaches or revamp your current mindset ― the answer is already within you! Decide to Quantum LEAP!
