Embrace the Uncertainty

Why Entrepreneurship is a Journey of Self Discovery

“ The fact that you don't know if it's gonna work - is exactly what makes it worth doing. It's why entrepreneurship isn't for the faint of heart. Embrace uncertainty.”

Embrace the Uncertainty: Why Entrepreneurship is a Journey of Self Discovery

Are you pouring your heart and soul into your business but the results seem uncertain?

You're not alone.

I recall a previous newsletter I wrote called: Beyond the Frustration -

My mentor Myron Golden shared this one simple message - "All Work, Works."

It’s amazing what a small word of encouragement can do in your life.

Most days, I start off with some form of positive content.

There’s enough negativity in the world as it is.

Wouldn’t you agree?

I recently listened to a short video by Alex Hormozi.

What he said was so profound, that I had to replay it several times.

I want to share this message with you, and I trust it will add value to your life.

"The thing I keep coming back to that makes entrepreneurship difficult is that you have a known cost for an unknown payoff. Sometimes it's a week, sometimes it's a month, sometimes it's a year, and sometimes, more realistically, it's multiple years before you get the paycheck back. And the paycheck isn't always money.

Sometimes it's just knowing that the thing you said was going to happen happens, or that maybe your wife looks at you differently, or maybe it's your family that looks at you differently. You want status with your community, whatever it is. And it just comes down to this:

Absolute soul-crushing uncertainty with the idea that no one can actually tell you. You have this unquenched desire to be able to predict the future while at the same time, knowing that you can and you have this desire because every day you learn something. Then you look back a year ago and you're like, "Why the heck did I not know this?"

"Like I'm such an idiot. It feels like I'm starting all over again today because of what I just recently learned. All the work that I did at this point is useless." But that's the wrong way to see it. Because you are the work that you've been working on this entire time.

And the fact that you can see what you were doing before wasn't nearly as fruitful as it could have been – that's the progress that you are making. And I keep coming back to this: that's what makes entrepreneurship difficult." ― Alex Harmozi

Cheers!

I feared this would happen…

A few newsletters ago, I wrote about AI and Authenticity. I don’t follow rap dis tracks and battles but this caught my attention. Drake and Kendrick Lamar had an online battle (beef). It was all good until Drake decided to used an AI Tupac (who is deceased) to deliver a message. Humanity stepped in as Tupac’s Estate threatened legal action for using his likeness without permission. How about a +1 for Authenticity!?
