Changing with the times...

Meta threads app vs twitter

Changing With The Times

Lately, I’ve been working on my self awareness.

How so? I’m glad you asked…

Maybe it’s an outer body experience? 😁

I stop — step back and analyze why I do the things I do, think about, react to and feel. It takes practice for sure.

Here’s my “self-awareness” moment from this week.

I’ve always been an early adopter when it came to technology. Now, I realize that it's harder to keep that same attitude as I get older. (stuck in my old ways?)

🎗️ Mantra: My attitude determines My altitude.

Most humans desire comfortability and not change itself. And the only human who likes change — is a Baby!

Recently Meta introduced Threads app. Most Twitter users will tell you, Threads seems like a knock off of Twitter.

At first, I was like — why bother installing another app?
Why can’t Instagram be one app like Twitter? Then Gary Vee reminded me to "keep an open mind and try Threads."

I also noticed other large influencers flocking to try the Threads app.

Hmm?

Why do large influencers take advantage of new tools, while the small accounts argue why it will fail?

Here's why — to diversity their audience at “ground zero”. Build momentum early! By the time it hits critical mass, they’re riding the waves!

Quick question…

How often do we miss a good opportunity because we are sitting on the sidelines waiting to see what happens?

At the end of the day, I swallowed my pride and installed the Threads app. It’s an opportunity to expand my network and applying lesson’s learned from Twitter threads.

I challenge you to embrace change and practice self-awareness too!

You can grow or learn something new from it.
And — you didn’t allow old beliefs hinder you from trying.

I don’t know exactly where you are on your journey, but I share words of encouragement, lessons learned, and ideas to help you grow your business.

4C’s - Grow and Monetize through Social Media

Threads was released by Meta. As Twitter and Meta battle for market share, I am reminded that our growth process stays the same. Apply the 4C’s.

  1. Connections - Build Connections (engage with others posts, DM etc.)

  2. Content - provide exceptional content, be authentic, provide substance

  3. Customers - once you’ve built trust, offer your product or service

  4. Cash - provide a call to action after your offer and collect the cash!
